Day-care surgery

Surgery without an overnight stay

Most glaucoma procedures at Puja Eye Hospital are performed as same-day surgery: admitted, treated, and discharged the same day, without an overnight stay. This is sometimes called day-care surgery, a term you may also see used by insurance providers. For patients travelling from outside Ahmedabad in particular, this keeps a surgical visit to a single day wherever the case allows for it.

Most procedures are same-day. That means less disruption for patients travelling from outside Ahmedabad.

  • By train — Kalupur railway station, Ahmedabad's main railway station, connects easily by road.
  • By metro — Gujarat University metro station is the nearest stop; from there, a shuttle rickshaw takes roughly 5–10 minutes.
